Sample answer

Study the organization, not the script

Dear Ms. Chen, I am helping organize a free career workshop for residents in our neighbourhood on Saturday, October 3, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the community centre. I would like to invite you to speak for approximately 30 minutes about preparing for job interviews and communicating professionally with employers. Many participants are newcomers and recent graduates who have limited experience with Canadian hiring processes. Your practical recruitment experience would make the session especially useful, and we would be happy to provide a projector and any other materials you need. Please let me know if you are available and whether there are any speaking requirements or topics you would prefer us to include. Thank you for considering the invitation. Kind regards, Jordan Lee

What to notice
