MyCELPIP editorial standards and feedback methodology

These standards explain how MyCELPIP separates official CELPIP facts from independent preparation material, how public product claims are verified, and what AI-generated feedback can and cannot mean.

Official-source rule

Changing facts such as test format, timings, published performance dimensions and official preparation availability are checked against current CELPIP sources before being stated as current.

Original-content rule

MyCELPIP prompts, sample answers and drills are independent teaching material unless a page explicitly links to and identifies an official CELPIP resource. We do not label original material as official or leaked.

Score-claim rule

Practice scores and AI-generated Writing or Speaking feedback are preparation estimates. They are not official CELPIP results, cannot reproduce confidential rater processes and must not be described as guaranteed test-day levels.

Inventory rule

Public counts are based on published MyCELPIP content and carry a verification date. Draft, unpublished or inaccessible content is not included in public inventory claims.

Update rule

Pages that depend on changing facts should show or carry a meaningful review/update date. A date is not advanced merely to make content look fresh; the underlying claim must actually be reviewed.

Correction rule

When a format, timing, route, product entitlement or factual claim is found to be stale or wrong, the correction should be made at the canonical source and linked pages should be updated rather than creating another competing page.

Primary sources and review hierarchy

For current CELPIP format and scoring information, the official CELPIP website is the source of truth. For Canadian immigration language requirements, use the relevant Government of Canada source. MyCELPIP articles may explain those sources but should not override them.
