See how MyCELPIP Writing and Speaking feedback is organized

This page shows illustrative feedback using original MyCELPIP teaching material. It is designed to make the product transparent before signup—not to present an official CELPIP score or imitate CELPIP's confidential rater process.

Writing example

From submitted response → dimension feedback → next drill

Original Task 1 situation

A building changes laundry-room closing time from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Write to the manager, explain why this creates a problem, describe the effect on other residents and suggest a practical solution.

Illustrative preparation estimate

Level 8–9 range

Not an official CELPIP rating or guaranteed test-day result.

Content / Coherence

Strong

All prompt requirements are covered and the main request is clear. The second body paragraph would be stronger with one more specific consequence for other residents.

Vocabulary

Developing

Word choice is accurate and natural, but several general words such as good, problem and difficult repeat. Replace only where a more precise word improves meaning.

Readability

Strong

Paragraph roles are easy to follow. Two long sentences would benefit from cleaner punctuation and one article correction.

Task Fulfillment

Strong

Tone fits a building manager and the requested solution is realistic. State the requested closing time slightly more directly in the final paragraph.

Next-practice recommendation

Write a fresh Task 1 email and require one concrete consequence or example for every prompt bullet before polishing vocabulary. This targets the weakest evidence in the example instead of simply asking for another full response.

Open Task 1 practice strategy

Speaking example

Feedback should explain the weakness, not just show a number

Original Task 1 situation

Your friend has started a new job but feels nervous speaking in meetings. Give practical advice for becoming more confident and participating effectively.

Clear first recommendation with a useful reason.

Two long pauses and a thin second example reduce the strength of the response.

Content / Coherence

Developing

The response gives two pieces of advice, but the second reason is short. Add one concrete workplace example to make the response easier to follow and more persuasive.

Vocabulary

Strong

Language is natural and appropriate to workplace meetings. Avoid repeating confident/confidence by paraphrasing one instance.

Listenability

Developing

Pace is mostly controlled, but two long pauses interrupt the middle of the response. Use preparation time to choose the order of your two main ideas before recording.

Task Fulfillment

Strong

The advice directly addresses the friend and stays supportive. The closing could summarize the most important first step more clearly.

Next-practice recommendation

Record a fresh Giving Advice response using only three preparation notes: advice 1 + example, advice 2 + example, closing. The goal is to reduce hesitation while improving development—not to memorize a script.

What MyCELPIP does not claim

Not official scoring

CELPIP's official results are produced by CELPIP's own scoring process. MyCELPIP feedback is independent preparation feedback.

No guaranteed level

A practice estimate can help identify trends and weaknesses, but it cannot guarantee what will happen on test day.

No leaked material

Prompts and examples used for MyCELPIP practice are original teaching material unless an official source is explicitly identified and linked.
