Original sample answer

A few years ago, I missed the last bus after finishing a late shift at work. It was winter, my phone battery was almost dead, and I was still several kilometres from home. A coworker noticed that I was checking the bus schedule and offered to drive me home even though it was not on his route. During the drive we talked about work and got to know each other better. I was extremely grateful because I would otherwise have had to pay for an expensive taxi. That experience reminded me that a small act of kindness can make a big difference to someone who is having a difficult day.
