Do not stop at correct versus incorrect. For every miss, identify the supporting idea, explain why your chosen distractor failed, and label the error: detail, inference, speaker attribution, attitude, vocabulary or lost concentration. If note-taking makes you miss the next idea, reduce your notes to names, viewpoints, changes of opinion and a few high-value keywords.
Use part practice to repair a repeated weakness. Use a full Listening mock to test whether the improvement survives longer concentration, speaker changes and realistic pacing. Then use a full four-skill mock to verify endurance across the complete exam flow.

CELPIP's official approximate score chart currently shows Level 9 at about 33–35 correct answers out of 38. The actual raw score needed can vary slightly because test forms are equated, so this should be treated as a guide rather than a fixed cutoff.
CELPIP groups Levels 10–12 at approximately 35–38 correct answers out of 38 on its published guide. This is not a guaranteed conversion for every test form.
Use both. Part practice is better for fixing a specific weakness; mock-test practice is better for checking pacing, concentration, note-taking and transitions under longer test conditions.
