Visitors are encouraged to use public transit because the parking lot will be partly closed for construction.

Common Part 3 mistakes

Writing every number without context

“10, 6, 7” is almost useless. Write “close10 / discount6 / kids7.”

Missing topic shifts

Use a slash or new line when the speaker moves to a new subject.

Focusing only on details

Capture the overall purpose too; some questions ask what the speaker is mainly explaining.

Confusing examples with rules

A speaker may give one example after a general rule. Do not treat the example as the only allowed case.

Practice routine

Listen once to a 2–3 minute informational clip. Build notes under:

• purpose;
• section 1;
• section 2;
• section 3;
• key numbers/names;
• final action or takeaway.

Then answer questions without replaying.
